Docker hostname not working

docker run -d -v /srv/dockervolume/openssh-git/srv:/srv --name node-basickarl -h node-basickarl basickarl/node-basickarl

root@domain:/srv/dockervolume/haproxy/etc/haproxy# ping node-basickarl
ping: unknown host node-basickarl
